Boston Breakers 63, New Orleans Brass 31

Dateline: Saturday May 24, 1986. No Dunigan? No problem for Boston. Backup quarterback Shawn Halloran lit up the New Orleans defense for 6 touchdowns. He also scored on a one yard plunge in the fourth quarter. Buford Jordan added a run to start the scoring and Scott Thomas returned a kick 89 yards for a touchdown to quell any talk of a comeback.

Rusty Hilger continues to shine in a season from hell in New Orleans. He added five touchdowns, accounting for all of the Brass scoring. He needed to do something because his run game gained only 57 yards on the day.

Both teams are at home. Boston against Jacksonville and New Orleans welcomes Baltimore.
